Costumes...

I chose to dress Amelia in a simple plain black dress - contrasting to her sparkly blue costume in the dancing scene. As Henry was performing a lot of colourful magic tricks, I feel that the attention wasn’t distracted from Amelia’s costume – making the main focus upon the magic. Consciously choosing to straighten her hair and doing minimal makeup allowed Amelia to look naturally beautiful, elegant and mature.

I chose to dress Henry in jeans and a trendy shirt - allowing him to look smart but casual at the same time. The blue striped shirt complimented Amelia's black dress - making them look like an item. As Henry's shirt is a little more colourful than Amelia's outfit, I feel it shows that he is the dominant figure in the magic scenes (which he is) - allowing more attention to be focused upon him whilst he performs his magic tricks.
